Color forecasting report for the fall winter collection 2010

Dolce & Gabbana have establish more than 50 years, it is a strong strength of it. In the past year, Dolce & Gabbana publish those collection, it can sell well. This brand give people a elegant, noble and graceful feeling for many year. It seems that this feelings will not be changed.

In the colorline of the collection in fall/winter. It is most frequent to use black, white and grey color, which is basic color and can be used in the all season. Also, in the collection of 2001-2009 fall collection of Dolce & Gabbana, almost all of the colors use are very dull and too many colors are used (at least 8 colour), it have not a main focus on the collection. However, in the 2009 collection, Dolce & Gabbana have some focus colors, only 6 colors, it will not give show visitors too fancy feeling. Moreover, a more sharp and attractive colors are used in the 2009 fall collection. Therefore, I predict the color used in fall 2010 collection will be still continuous 2009's trend-SHARP!!!

SO, I predict the following colour will be adopt in 2010 collection, since yellow is very sharp and can match with other colour as nowadays people can claiming for envirnmental friendly, and forest theme can be used .

Timeline of Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2001 RTW to Fall 2009 RTW

Since the collection of Fall 2000 RTW is too many colour, it is very difficult to made a color chart of that collection, and it is very fancy, so I forgive to do such thing.

In this time line(color line already) , Dolce & Gabbana love to use those basic colors, that is black, Grey and white at all of their collection, but they will also use those bayadere colors.
However, even use these bayadere color, it is quiet dull of their collection.
I think it may because the collection is Fall, not spring.

Also, the brand seldome use very sharp colour in their fall collections, most of the collection are rather dull or light in colour. I think it may because the brand image is not offering those too fancy colour clothing. However, I think if they can make a collection that sharp in colour, it will be very surprise by their fans.

I take the photos at Shatin and Tai Wai.I think the people in these areas may not very fashionable.Therefore,all of my photos are not very attactive.
However,I was shopping in Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay, I can see those people are more willing to dress different.Unluckly,I have not bought my camera ,so I can not get those pictures.

I predict that the man wear leggings will be a trend ,may be not next year. Since some trendy boy wear leggings and I think it is quit fashonable. Now, leggings is wear by the female. But, time will change everything, including those mind of '' only women can wear leggings'', also, leggings is very propular among the female in last few year. It is a time to change, I want to see more people(especially young people) dress up more.

For women, I think slim cloth will continue be a trend, but as we all know that, most of the Hong kong girl have ''baby fat'', especially at the belly , so I think they may be wear those clothes is slim at the top and become large at the belly part. It can cover this area.

Analysis:
As we can see that most of the photos are very ''black'' and ''white''.
Only some of them are not using these basic color, such as red jewel color, grey and sapphire color and pink.

Also, check pattern must be the main theme of this collection, since quiet a number of outfit is print in check pattern. And it is very nostalgia to me.

Although I don't very like check pattern, but the cutting of these outfit is very suitable for those slim girl because the collection can make them look more healthy, that mean look more 'fat'.

Analysis:
Almost all of the colour are black and white, it very match the style of the brand.
But some attractive color are also used, such as sharp pink,red etc.
All of the collection of the men are suit. It is very suitable for the men when they go to work and dress more colorful color, not just deadly black and white, I recommend they can wear those outfit in pink color, as it can give other people a fresh look.
